I was just talking to a friend about finding something on a really text-heavy webpage. They only wanted to find a review, but were having a hard time locating it on the page. I told them to search for it. “That’s how I got here. I searched Google and found this page.” I told them  that I meant search the page not the whole internet. “What? How?”

To search for a word or a phrase on a web page use the keyboard combination, Command-F. Hold down the Command key and type f. This opens a search bar toward the top of your Safari window, at the bottom of your Firefox window, and below the address bar and to the right of your Google Chrome window. Now type the word or phrase that you want to find. There are arrows next to the search fields to take you to the next instance of your search and the previous instance of your search. When you are finished searching click Done or the x to close the search field. In Safari if you click the x you will just clear the search field, click on Done  button to close the search bar.
